Glossary: a batch groups pages, content and components so they are published together. In the Management API, most writes are queued as batches.
A batch groups pages, content items and components so you can review them together and publish, unpublish or schedule them with a single action. Items in a batch can still be published one by one without affecting the batch. Editors manage batches under Reports > Batches.
In the Management API, a batch is also how work is queued. Saves, deletes and workflow operations return a batch ID, and the change happens when Agility processes the batch. Poll the batch until it is processed, then check each item for errors.
